empowering our youth and families

Genesis Youth Trust offers wraparound services for in-need rangatahi (young people) and their whanau to address and heal trauma, uplift, support and action pathways into work.

The Trust works closely with NZ Police and Government agencies including Oranga Tamariki and the Ministry of Social Development who identify and refer rangatahi to the Trust to deliver ongoing mentorship and family liaison, focused on long-term positive outcomes.

Founded in 2000 by Rob Woodley, the Trust employs mentors, counsellors and social workers across offices in south and east Auckland working across proven programmes of work that prevent recidivism and unemployment and reduce required healthcare. In partnership with the police, the Trust walks alongside families, influencing positive change and  successfully leading young people into apprenticeships and careers.

Genesis is generously supported by private sector businesses committed to positive outcomes for some of the most vulnerable youth in our community.
